Carnarvon Gorge to QLD Coast
Spectaclular Carnarvon Gorge lies hidden in the rugged ranges of Queensland’s Central Highlands. Over millions of years, running water has carved a gorge system through soft sandstone – creating magestic cliffs that change colour with the movement of the sun. Carnarvon Creek flows year round, giving life to a luxuriant growth of ancient ferns and palms, abundant wildlife and birds, amd Aboriginal rock art sites.

Allured by the Black-breasted Button-quail we will try to see at Inskip Point-Rainbow Beach, along with walks past the gorgeously restored old Queenslander homes on the Mary River Maryborough and the expansive Mt Walsh’s excarpments in the west.
